Best cot/crib to have next to the bed?

Hiya, I'm wanting a cot that I can have next to the bed to make breastfeeding easier by not constantly having to get out of bed. Also will be having a c-section, so the less up & down the better. I won't be sleeping with sides down, so just want something to make life a bit easier. Best recommendations please?

I really liked our Snuzpod. It was the highest one out there which worked for our fairly high bed. I also liked the look of it. Some say it's not as big as others, depending on size of baby they may need a new bed by 6 months. My dd was 9m by the time she moved into a bigger bed - but by that time she was sleeping through the night anyway.

I second the Snuzpod. DD is 5 months and I love it. Will be upset when she moves to big cot. It looks lovely and isnt bulky at all.

The Ikea Gulliver here. Cheap, sturdy, has two levels and a removable side so could see your child through to age 3 or older.

Loved my Chico next2me. We had it as a do sleeper because it’s the only way my baby would sleep!

@EssentialHummus did you have the cot next to you in your room at first? Did you have the side off? Thanks

Tutti bambini cozzee gets the vote from me.

About 2 weeks ago id have suggested a cot with the side off but since my DS arrived ive learned a hard lesson that some babies refuse to be put down at all and He's ended up in my bed with me every night since he was 3 days old Grin so my advice now would be don't buy anything till they get here and you know what kind of baby they are because i now have a cot bouncer pram etc that won't be used till he's about 3 months old so i needn't have bothered buying them yet

Yes - side off, up against our bed, at the higher of the two levels (it's adjustable). It sat flush with our bed.

I had a bed nest for two children. I followed all safety rules

I loved it

Creas35 · 11/02/2020 21:23

Chicco next to me, I had a c section also so used it to hoist myself up the first few days. I also had a purflo nest in the crib but only because I was given one. My baby slept amazing compared to my first who had a Moses basket but that could just be down to the babies.

I used chicco next to me with best nothing worked I ended up co sleeping (safely) as I wanted to breastfeed.

Snuzpod!

Our little one who is on the 99th percentile for growth was in hers until she was approx. 7 months.

Worth every penny.
