Were you treated for HG in your last pregnancies? You need to get on meds asap so that you can function x

Yupimahelecopter · 11/02/2020 10:54

Thanks for responding, feeling like such an ungrateful cow when so many women want to be in my position. Yeah all my pregnancies were hg.. I just don't think I can even get to the doctors I feel so ill. I was so excited two weeks ago now Im really regretting it :(

You can do this.
You don't have to.
You don't have to feel guilty for feeling how you are. Pregnancy is fucking hard and you've had it rough.
I know it seems forever, but you're possibly 6 weeks away from relief. Hang in there.
Rant. Eat whatever you can keep down. Get your DP to take you to out of hours.

Yupimahelecopter · 11/02/2020 11:05

Thanks @3rdchristmaslucky I needed telling I can do it :( I'm just feeling sorry for myself, my body literally can't handle eating or drinking today, I've tried icelollies and drink and it's not staying down, so I'm laying in bed with peppa pig on, snacks everywhere for my daughter and her poking me every so often telling me she the doctor

Call your doctors right away. Explain the situation. Get meds!

Yupimahelecopter · 11/02/2020 11:23

Just called @HeyMac waiting for a call back, I've been through this all before and could give advice to anyone but when I'm going though it I'm useless mess crying in to a towl lol

It's horrid and your brain stops working! I was exactly the same. You need help and that Ok. Have you got any ketostix from previous pregnancies?

LittleBoyJuly2020 · 11/02/2020 11:33

I didn't have HG but the nausea was bad enough to make me regret and hate early pregnancy. You're not ungrateful in the slightest. I completely believe pregnancy sickness is the absolute WORSE thing to endure. It's so relentless and continuous and depressing.
Hopefully some meds will at least allow you to function and drink/eat x

Yupimahelecopter · 11/02/2020 11:37

Argh I'm glad I'm not alone, my brains turned to mush already.. I never tested at home with the others but I pretty much lived at the hospital and doctors.. I might order sum but I know the signs pretty well, If I don't get meds I'll be 4+ by Friday.. Why doesn't my body like being pregnant :'(
I've got stupid seabands, a tens machine hooked on my wrists.. Just nothing works :(

Awww you poor thing. I was so, so ill that I admit I fluffed pepto busman until I could get to the doctors 😬😔.
This is going to sound really odd but have you tried running your feet under the cold tap / putting them in cold water ??? Or even just a cold flannel over them? It stops nausea although I'm aware I sound bonkers xx I really hope you feel as good as you can be OP!! Congratulations by the way 😁🎉🏆💐⭐️ 👶🏽

JenNtonic · 11/02/2020 12:13

Glugged not fluffed .... that would be so messy 😳🤭🙄

Yupimahelecopter · 11/02/2020 12:18

Thanks @jenNtonic I literally feel sick at the sight of water, I'll give it a try but everytime I shower I gag and I'm sick when I get out :s this pregnancy is kicking my arse so bar today.

Glad to hear you're getting some help and you feel better

HeyMac · 12/02/2020 10:41

Oh that's great news. Get as many bags of fluid as they'll give you Grin. I really wish you could get an IV at home easily, would make life so much easier.

Yupimahelecopter · 12/02/2020 11:17

Grin yeah me too @HeyMac and injections rather than tablets to take home too! Tablets don't work the same lol

HeyMac · 12/02/2020 11:21

Haha I remember trying to convince the nurse I was happy to inject myself in the bum at home...apparently it's not the done thing Sad

abbs1 · 12/02/2020 12:17

So glad you've got some help. I spent the first 5months of my pregnancy in and out of hospital nearly every day for fluids and iv medication for HG. In the end I had steroids to stop the vomiting and nausea which was given from 12 weeks so that may be an option for you if nothing else is working. I was given them to stop me coming into hospital as I was basically living there!
I'm now 33 weeks and finally medication free.

LittleBoyJuly2020 · 12/02/2020 15:25

So glad to hear you're getting some relief! X

Cookiecrumble888 · 12/02/2020 15:35

I understand how you feel. I remember with both my kids just feeling really down in the dumps and sick around 6 weeks until about 12 weeks.it was harder I suppose with my second because I was trying to function for a 2-year old at the same time. I remember around 6 weeks just sitting outside on my decking on the floor,it was a hot day and my child of playing and I just remember thinking how am I going to do this. I felt really sad and really we can I remember just thinking I don't think I can do another 5 weeks of this.I just kind of muddled through the days in between feeling sick and tired and trying to just function until my daughter went for another nap. I remember just having a bowl of cold pasta in the fridge and I nibble a few pieces and constantly make sure I had food in my stomach otherwise I felt worse.

in all honesty I think that you will just model through each day and tomorrow will be another day ticked off and before you know it hopefully you will be feeling a lot better. Its definitely rough in these early weeks. it seems to take forever to find a drink that doesn't make you feel sick or food that doesn't make you feel sick. I also had the exhaustion and I just wanted to sleep all day and I couldn't really get past teatime.

but eventually get past it and you just managed and you start to hopefully enjoy the pregnancy and planning for your new arrival. I think you do need to ask your doctor's to see if they can help you. I didn't have the horrendous sickness that floors people and lands them on a drip, but I was nauseous all the time and I was occasionally sick. It was like having a constant stomach bug for weeks.

Not sure why nature decided to do this to us! Keep going. You will get there! Xx

Yupimahelecopter · 13/02/2020 11:18

Thanks @Cookiecrumble888 I got out of hospital last night after having 4 bags of fluid lol got anisickness tablets and feel much better.. Could do with a day to sleep but my husbands had to go back to work, so I've got both kids.. Not ideal but I'm surviving lol

Cookiecrumble888 · 13/02/2020 12:31

Bless you. So pleased you found some relief. Keep drinking and eat what you can Wink annoying advice I know lol!!! Its not easy! How many weeks are you now? Hope you are able to rest abit even if it's just PJ's and sofa whilst the kids play xx

MummyNWife · 13/02/2020 21:48

Bless you i remember all that very well with my 3rd pregnancy. I didn't even morning sickness with my first 2! I had full blown hg with baby no 3 from 5 weeks to about 16 weeks really bad and then it was manageable. I would love another baby but the thought of hg fills me with dread. I hope ur ok and feeling a bit better xx

HeyMac · 14/02/2020 17:49

OP have you found the HG support thread on here? Don't be afraid to get more help if the tablets don't work for you. They can change and tweak things.

Yupimahelecopter · 16/02/2020 10:29

Thanks ladies!
I've been coping much better the last few days, feeling a bit shitty today and for some reason noise really makes me feel worse (is that crazy?) ill have both kids tomorrow when my husband goes back to work so no doubt trying to sort these food and stuff will make me feel a bit crappy. And I'm gonna go back to the doctors tomorrow to get a tablet for in-between doses..
@mummynwife that's so strange only getting it with the last one.. And I definitely wouldn't do this again!!!!!

@Cookiecrumble888 I'm still only 7 weeks :( got so long to go lol

@heymac Ill check it out thanks you, definitely gonna go back to the doctors tomorrow
