Weird sensation 'down there' - 13 weeks

Hi everyone,

I'm 13+2 and the last 24 or hours or so I've been having a really weird sensation between my legs....it's really hard to describe but it kind of feels like a throbbing or pulsing sensation or really mild electric shocks that come and go.
It's definitely in the actual vaginal area rather than being lower abdominal cramps or anything like that and it's more strange/uncomfortable than painful.

Has anyone had this before? Should I be worried?

I've got my dating scan on Wednesday and am feeling anxious enough without new random symptoms appearing 🙈

Totally normal, kind of like when you get a twitch somewhere. There is a lot of changes going on 'down there' so this could be new, nothing to worry about but you can always ask a doctor if it gets really uncomfortable. Muscles are changing to adapt to being more stretchy also.

I think you might need to get used to using the word vagina, OP.

Those pains are normal. Other things you might experience are an unpleasant vaginal odour particularly in the later stages. Also the muscle/tendon relaxation a pp mentioned can extend beyond your pelvic region. You might start dribbling in your sleep.

@cajenchick lol. My reason for not saying vagina was simply because it's not just happening in my vagina.....it's also the very bottom of my pubic bone, perineum and sometimes further towards my bum as well. Hence my 'between the legs' and 'vaginal area' comments as that seemed to sum it up better.
