Hi ladies,
Looking for some reassurance, I read the stats but so much different and better hearing true stories. I'm 31 had a MMC and now 7+2..
Been so worried I started booking private scans and had my first yest which was great just don't know how to feel! I want to be excited and give the lil one all the enjoyment of early days but I feel if I think to ahead it won't last again. Think I'm going to be addicted to private scanning but that isn't cheap, better than finding out at 12wks the baby stopped developing weeks ago.

Anyone give me some lovely stories where they had a one off miscarriage then went on for a good pregnancy full term?

I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in April 2018. In May 2018 I fell pregnant again and my little guy turned one last week.

Hope all goes well for you Flowers

I had a miscarriage after my first round of IVF. Managed to get pregnant after the second round and am currently 22 weeks. I still worry -but it is easier as time goes on and feeling the kicking over the last few weeks has really helped. One miscarriage really doesn’t mean you will have another. It’s hard I know -to be honest I have had about 10 scans already!! I never imagined I would get this far. Good luck.

notasillysausage · 10/02/2020 19:17

I had a missed miscarriage and went on to have 2 healthy children. I’m pregnant again now (9 weeks) and nervous but trying to stay optimistic. Good luck and hope you can start to relax a little soon (easier said than done, I know!)

cloclo92 · 10/02/2020 19:19

I had two miscarriages last year. I'm now currently 15+2 weeks.
Praying this is my rainbow baby.
My miscarriages were both within the first trimester.

Private scans can be addictive be careful cos I got quite obsessive. Good luck x

sassenach84 · 10/02/2020 19:23

Had MMC in May 2019 at 8-9 weeks. Now 19 weeks pg. Had loads of scans this time around (every 2 weeks until 12w) and each one was nerve racking... actually they still are. But they gave me some reassurance (for a short while at least). I have private healthcare which covered them so was lucky not to have to fork out the costs myself.

starlightmagic · 10/02/2020 19:27

I had a MMC end of July 2018, currently 31+6! Had some bleeding even with this pregnancy but she has been a very sticky one, I ended up having fortnightly scans from 7 weeks as I was so so scared!

dointhedo · 10/02/2020 19:31

MMC at 10+3 May 2018; just cuddling my nearly 11 month old DD to sleep.

FlapJackered · 10/02/2020 19:34

I had a MC last year. I totally get the worry. I am 5+3 and terrified.
I saw a really reassuring statistic that if you see a heartbeat at 8 weeks your chance of miscarriage reduces to under 2%.

TinyPaws · 10/02/2020 19:38

I had a missed miscarriage with my first followed by two chemical pregnancies. I'm now 30w with what looks like a healthy boy.

Once you've seen a heartbeat your odds are really very good, even better if foetal pole, yolk sac and gestational sac area appropriately sized for dates.

Hoppinggreen · 10/02/2020 19:40

I’m sorry for your loss
I had a mmc at 12 weeks and had to have surgical intervention.
Apparently this can make you VERY fertile and I gut pg 1 week later! Never occurred to me that this was even possible but when my period hadn’t returned (and I threw poor DHs breakfast at him when he complained his egg wasn’t done right) I did a test and I was pg again!
We were both very shocked and my Mum thought I was having a breakdown and had forgotten about my mc but it all turned out ok and DD is15 now and awesome. I also have an 11 year old
Hope all goes well for you too x

anothermamaa · 10/02/2020 19:41

Sorry for your loss OP. I've been there as well. Currently feeding my gorgeous 9MO to sleep. Had one miscarriage followed by a very smooth pregnancy and birth. I guess maybe you could wait a couple of weeks then have another private scan to reassure you? Good luck! Thanks

LilMrsS · 10/02/2020 19:47

Thanks ladies nice to hear good stories I will get another scan in 2 weeks I think il be 9/5 Much nicer experience going for private scans and we got videos, pictures plus a report.

I've had 3 miscarriages at 13, 12 and 6 weeks. I've also had 3 healthy pregnancies (7 18 months and 3 months old)

Sorry for your lose. It's always worrying once you've experienced a miscarriage xx

LucyDev18 · 11/02/2020 23:42

I had a mmc in April 2019, and had a d&c as my body was not doing what it needed to do. I got acupuncture, 8 weeks aftwr as my periods had not started again, it started 2 days after the acupuncture and I found out I was pregnant again the next month. I am now 33w and 2d and getting kicked around by baby, I'm watching my big baby bump wobble from the movement. I thought it was going to happen again this time as I started bleeding and discharge at 6 weeks which went on for weeks it stopped at 11 or 12 then started again after a scan at 14w, it turned out I had a sub chronic hematoma that is where the bleeding was coming from that finally cleared by its self at about 16 weeks and all has been prefect since. All I have now is such bad heart burn that I must be carrying chewbacca. Hope u are feeling ok

lovepositivity · 12/02/2020 06:59

I had a MMC at 7 weeks last year. I'm currently 29 weeks pregnant and everything is going well. I'm not gonna lie, I've been anxious so have paid for a few extra private scans along the way. That was mainly earlier in pregnancy and since 20
Weeks I'm a lot more relaxed x

Snoopy28x · 12/02/2020 07:17

I have a 3 year old DD, mc never really entered my mind with my first pregnancy. However my 2nd pregnancy ended with mc at 12 weeks. 3 months later I did get pregnant again and have a healthy little 7 month old.

It is a very nerve wracking time, I did worry alot of the time with my next pregnancy, cried my eyes out at the 12 week scan when he was fine xx

missymousey · 12/02/2020 22:54

I had a mc at 12 weeks (probs hadn't been developing for a while before that, i had no pg symptoms at all). I now have a wonderful 2 year old and a gorgeous little baby.

As PP mentioned the odds are vastly better once you've seen a heartbeat on an early scan. Fingers crossed for you xx

LilMrsS · 13/02/2020 08:30

Thank you 🤞

I had 3 mcs then my beautiful daughters who are 12 and 15

yelyahyoung · 13/02/2020 08:38

I fell pregnant within 2 weeks of miscarrying, which was my 3rd miscarriage. I am now 38+2 weeks and everything is perfect.
Good luck and try not to stress and have too many private scans as that may do more bad than good. Once you hit 12 weeks you may feel more comfortable and reassured about things. I wish you a happy pregnancy and a healthy rainbow babyGrin xx

wingingitalltheway · 13/02/2020 08:39

Sorry for your loss Flowers
I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks Christmas 2018. Fell pregnant in Feb 2019 and currently sat on the sofa having cuddles with my perfect 4 month old DD. I had an early scan at 7 weeks with her because I had some bleeding but they found her heartbeat straight away.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Look after yourself!

samjacklogi88 · 13/02/2020 09:55

Sorry you went through this I went through w miscarriage with my first pregnancy it was early 6 weeks and when i got pregnant again I was so anxious the whole way through but I had strong symptoms and I just held on that for comfort and now I have a 2 and half year old and am 4 months into my second pregnancy it is a worry but just because you suffered doesn't mean you can't go on to have a normal healthy pregnancy all the best and I wouldn't google things it doubles the anxiety I used to
Do and it made get so low you believe everything the internet says xx

Nowayorhighway · 13/02/2020 10:08

I had two missed miscarriages in a row then had a lovely healthy DS. I had a chemical in September but am now almost 17 weeks pregnant with a seemingly healthy baby. I’m sorry for your loss, missed miscarriages are particularly cruel Flowers.

gaffamate · 13/02/2020 10:09

I had dd1, then went to TTC again when she was 3 and had 2 MMC and 3 early MCs but then I got pregnant again, took aspirin for the first trimester and got DS and in hindsight it's a lovely gap between them
