I started my new job 2 weeks ago meaning if I got pregnant now I would be able to get SMP. They want me to switch job roles which would happen in the next month or 2. Would I still get SMP as it's technically starting a new job but will be after the cut off if that makes sense or doesn't it matter as it's the same organisation and place of work just different job title

As long as you are in the same company it will still class as 1 employment. Also if you don't get pregnant for a few more weeks you will get the standard maternity pay with is 6 weeks of 90% your normal salary. You have to be working with the company for 26 weeks before you go into your last 15 weeks of pregnancy so it works out as something like 3/4 weeks after you start.
