Hi everyone,

So I've had a bit of a roller coaster. I unexpectedly discovered I was pregnant about 3 weeks ago and Clear Blue told me I was 2-3 weeks (leaflet states that the doctor will say 4-5 weeks). Although unplanned it's now very wanted!

I went to see the midwife and she told me I was around 7 weeks due to my last period. But I had a bit of a panic with red blood when I wiped last Monday and was booked in for an emergency scan on Wednesday, where I was then told I was only 4 weeks no way I was 7-8 weeks - the nurses were so rude (physically threw the little scan picture at me while she was still internally scanning me), how was I suppose to know? This is my first pregnancy.

Anyway, I'm booked in for a follow up scan next Wednesday were I'll be 6 weeks-ish.

But I haven't experienced any real symptoms yet? Just tiredness, anxiety and trying to not get too excited - which in turn is making me quite sad! The first week I found out I felt sick constantly, but I can only assume this was shock because nothing since!

When did everyone start feeling pregnancy symptoms? And what came first for you? I know it's really early days but I'm finding it very hard to just wait and get on with life.

Thanks,
R x

I wouldn't find this a bad thing.
I've had horrendous sickness, tiredness, spd from around 7 weeks.
I'm now 35 weeks on Wed and I have all this times 10 also now with sciatica. I'm still being sick daily and I have 0 energy, major dizzy spells and insomnia at night. . Oh and sore boobs. Soo painful.

My daughter, my pregnancy symptoms all disappeared around 9 weeks and it was lovely lol.
I've not enjoyed being pregnant at all this time around because of all the symptoms.

Honestly, I had barely any symptoms in the 1st trimester. I had mood swings and extreme tiredness and occasionally felt nauseous but that was it! I'm now 21 Weeks carrying a healthy little girl. Little to no symptoms doesn't always mean there's something wrong x

RaachelMorrow · 10/02/2020 14:24

@Roozy123 oh god! Sounds like you're having such a tough time! I hope it gets better for you soon Smile

Congratulations on your little baby girl as well - how exciting for you?!

I remember wishing for symptoms at 5 weeks because it didn’t feel real... I developed hyperemesis at 7 weeks which is still going at 16 weeks so symptoms arrived with a bang!

I think most dont develop symptoms til 6-8 weeks and even then, some lucky sods get barely any symptoms at all!

Best of luck with your pregnancy and congratulations!

I'm 16 weeks and my symptoms started at around 6-7 weeks. Nausea was the main symptom, absolutely beyond awful. Had strong food aversions (still do) and a really disgusting taste in my mouth constantly, it tasted like I hadn't brushed my teeth in weeks!
Constipation is/was another unpleasant symptom.
Sore boobs until week 13 ish.
Tiredness was another.

Now I'm starting to feel quite good, but still having symptoms. If I were you I'd make the most of feeling ok!

Hope all goes well for you x

I was exactly the same, I was thinking 'Hey this is really easy', and then I got to about 8 weeks, and bang, I was throwing up to the point where I was losing weight, not nice.
Enjoy being symptom free while it lasts.
Congrats!"

With my first I had no sickness 2nd and 3rd pregnancy symptoms started around 5 weeks after ovulation (which was 7 weeks since period) and lasted til week 10! I'm similar to you 3weeks since ovulation but 6 weeks since period (longer cycle this time) the only symptoms I have at he mo are tiredness and I'm emotional but no others yet! You might belucky enough not to have morning (or in my case all day) sickness it's horrific! Xx

@RaachelMorrow I’m 5 weeks and 5 days and am hardly having symptoms either - I know I should be making the most of it but it’s just making me worry! I think I’ll be better after our early scan next week (when I’ll be seven weeks to the day) and I know the pregnancy is viable as right now I just feel like I’ve made it up!
That said, I have had sore nipples and cramps but they’re very on and off (mainly off). A lot of people have said that they seem to amp up after week six or seven so I guess we just have to make the most of it now!

lou1904 · 12/02/2020 21:56

Hey I am now just over 7 weeks pregnant and I thought the same as you. I had no symptoms really until just over 6 weeks pregnant. However now the nausea has hit with a vengeance, every smell makes me want to throw up. I was almost wishing myself to feel unwell so I could feel pregnant but now wishing for this feeling to go away!! Good luck with your early scan x

Charchar19 · 13/02/2020 06:35

I'm 13 weeks and had barely any symptoms other than sore boobs for a few weeks, constipation and gas Blush I also thought the same thing around 6 weeks and that something must be wrong however my best friend who has a 2yo said she was exactly the same and had no sickness nausea etc so obviously everyone has different experiences.

MrFlibblesEyes · 13/02/2020 08:08

I don't know whether to bring this up (or if I've read it wrong) but if you tested positive 3 weeks ago and a scan this week showed that you were only 4 weeks pregnant then things are not looking good for this being a viable pregnancy. I hope your next scan goes well but to have tested positive 3 weeks ago you must have been at least 3-4 weeks then, which would make you 6-7 weeks now and the sonographer would be able to see a heartbeat etc. Fingers crossed for you op and I hope I'm wrong but I would prepare yourself that the news might not be good.

BooMamaBear · 13/02/2020 14:45

@MrFlibblesEyes -that's really interesting I think I'd just feel too guilty and my family would judge! Xx

BooMamaBear · 13/02/2020 20:07

Oops posted this in the wrong chat don't know how?

maria2bela · 13/02/2020 20:17

I didn't have many symptoms that early. Then at 7 weeks major nausea and food aversions, I only eat junk these days and even that makes me feel sick after. Just enjoy your symptom free time honestly! It does not mean you are any less pregnant than the next person!
