Sweet/Savoury cravings?

Hi,

Have heard a few different things about having which cravings means boy or girl! What does Everyone think?

I'm only 8 weeks so have only really had aversions so far, when I have wanted something it hasn't been as intense as I imagine a craving to be but I always want to be eating sweets! Like jelly/fruity sweets!

Both times I was really off sweet food in first 12 weeks. All about the carbs!! But my first was a girl and this time I’m having a boy x

I take all these old wives tales with a pinch of salt.....

I'm 13+2 and, in between sickness, I alternate between craving sweet one week (ice cream and fruit) and savoury the next (anything beige, salty and carb heavy).

And there's definitely only 1 baby in there 😂

I'm 23 weeks and I literally cannot get enough of anything salt and vinegar flavoured! Particularly discos! Omg I'm having chilli for tea with curly fries and gallons of vinegar on, I'm so excited!

I also went through a marmite phase where I just wanted to stick my face in the jar 😂😂

All my cravings have been savoury and I'm having a girl

First pregnancy was anything savoury, especially sandwiches - I had a girl.

This pregnancy has been fruits, salads, anything tangy, sweets etc and I'm having a boy.

Having said that I really don't think it has anything to do with the sex of the baby, there's no way the baby being a boy or girl could influence that.

I haven't eaten anything sweet since 6 weeks (I'm 16 weeks now) and chocolate is the devil. All I can eat is savoury food, saltier the better. I'm having a boy

With DD1 I wanted orange juice and fab ice lollies.

With DD2... chicken, chips with curry sauce (from the chippy) and occasionally strawberry milkshake (I’ve not long had my 20 week scan where they told us we were expecting another girl)

Everyone said it must be a big this time because the pregnancy has been so different especially the cravings but I always had an inclination this time that I was expecting a girl

For the first few weeks I was all about the sour/pickly flavours and ALL THE CHEESE. Completely off chocolate and sweets, which was my staple food before getting pregnant.

I'm 11 weeks now and I am off the cheese, and back on the chocolate!

Don't know what we're having yet but my gut tells me it's a girl.
