38 weeks pregnant, can laughing cause my water to break?

I am 38 weeks pregnant and got tickets to go see a comedian, I have read and heard about multiple woman whoes waters have broken when seeing a comedian. Is this just a coincidence or can laughing too hard actually cause Labour?

Well I had had an ecv so maybe that was the reason however I was watching a stand up on tv and well....

Not sure about laughing but my sister's broke while vomiting so I guess anything that engages your 'core' could do it....

I tried this at 40 weeks to get my girl to budge! We had Rich Hall take the piss out of me for an hour straight as we were near the front and after the interval turned up on stage with a towel 'to catch the baby'. I was in stitches. It didn't work for me unfortunately but I have heard similar stories.

Probably more likely to wet yourself...
