At how many weeks did you get a BFP?

My period should have started around a week ago but so far I have nothing other that a few cramps as if it's going to start. My boobs are starting to feel heavy and tingly but they don't hurt the way they usually do prior to my period. We are trying for a baby but I tested this morning and the test was negative (did it last week too, also negative). I'm not usually this late and if I were to date from my last period I would be 5 weeks 4 days now. Could it be that my period is late or am I testing too soon? I know it's not always possible to get one as early as people think. At how many weeks did you get a positive result?

I got a very strong BFP at 5 weeks with DD.

I got a very faint positive line at 4 weeks the first time round, but sadly I lost tha pregnancy around 6.5-7 weeks.

5 weeks - tried 3 different pregnancy test in a space of 2 days. The two expensive ones did not work, and the £1 for 2 pregnancy testing sticks from Asda came up with a positive almost straight away!

I got mine the day my period was due, 2 weeks after conception. Was pretty surprised it worked at that stage, and checked again a few days later. They often only work in the early days if you use first morning urine, which is more concentrated than later in the day.

same here - day period was due.

I tested at 10 weeks with dd. I only tested because my mum told me i was pregnant . In my defense i hadn't a period for 6 months.

The second time i tested postive at 7 weeks, but misscarriaged at 10 weeks.

I am now 40 + 4 with my 3rd i didn't tested positive at about 8 weeks, again only tested because DH insisted i was pg. Again i hadn't hadn't had a period for 4mths.

So i guess when it comes to knowing when pregant i am hopeless

i was 6 weeks with dd and 8 weeks with ds, both strong positives, depends on the prgnancy and hormones, a friend of mine didnt get a positive until she was 12 weeks!! pregnancy all went fine and baby now bonny and bouncing!!

about a week late

2 weeks late I got a BFP straightaway from an Asda stick.

DD1 - 3 days after period was due
DD2 - day persiod was due but kept getting negatives from ebay cheapie tests, got a positive 3 days later
DB3 - 4 days before period was due (sadly I mc at 10 weeks)

I would have thought you would have got a positive by now if you were pregnant most tests can detect the hormone from the day your period is due.

I would give it another week and if no period, do another test then see your GP.
