Hi everyone! Just done a test this morning and it’s coming out as pregnant.

This is my first pregnancy so can someone actually say that yep that’s a BFP!

What are the next steps, do I ring my doctors?

I had some internet cheapies so I did 3'of then over Friday-Monday and then tried a "proper" one as the internet ones can be crap (apparently!) but in my area you self refer to a midwife, never seen a GP about my pregnancy

I’ve done a cheapy one now and that’s hardly showing anything. But the clear blue was showing the above. Am I jumping the gun a bit or is it once you see one positive then that’s it? I think today should be the start of my period.

If you have any more around the house I'd try again tomorrow and then phone the midwife unit (personally, total up to you, a + is a +), or if you'd rather have peace of mind go to a pharmacy and they can test for you and then phone the hospital tomorrow for your booking appointment (had mine at 8 weeks)

Definitely looks positive to me, congrats! Maybe buy a frer as they as more sensitive.

Just done another using a First Response. Does a fainter line mean it may just be quite early?

If you know the first day of your last period you can pop that into an online calculator and have a good idea of the date. Congratulations and make sure and get your folic acid / vitamins

To be honest, I used the clear blue digital as well as I wanted a clear yes or no

The different tests differ in how sensitive they are. The leww sensitive a test is, the fainter the line. Its also true that the less hcg in your wee (the less pregnant you are), the fainter the line.

Those are BFPs! Now you just sit and feel weirdly excited and scared. Where I live, the midwife appointment doesn’t happen until 8 weeks so I remember just feeling like it probably wasn’t true until the scan. Congratulations!

Definitely positive. Search your local area online and you can self refer to the midwife, they will ring in a couple of days to set up an 8 week booking in appointment, then your next would be your 12 week scan, 16 week with midwife, 20 week scan then midwife appointments every 2-3 weeks

Def self refer. The appointment is so underwhelming if you go to the docs to do it haha!
