Does anyone ever just feel sick in the mornings?

This is my third pregnancy and I am feeling sick pretty much all day everyday at the moment.

I know 'morning' sickness can appear at any time of the day but does anyone really just feel sick for a bit in the morning and then get on with the rest of their day?

I'm 7+3 and there doesn't seem to be any pattern or trigger.

🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

No, it's why I think some people want to change it to nausea and vomiting in pregnancy - NVP which is a lot more accurate. I am often sick just before I go to bed for instance.

Sardi28 · 08/02/2020 19:42

I don't think any lady I've spoken to has just been sick in the morning 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm 5+ 5 and not feeling sick yet. Making me worry a bit x

I feel like I'm eating constantly (even though I don't really want to) just to try and get rid of the nausea. I'm calling it progesterone poisoning.

It's so perverse; I feel reassured by the sickness as a symptom but I also feel miserable ☹️

I have to say, I definitely feel worse in the mornings and thats the only time i’ve been sick, it does tend to get better as the day goes on, although the nausea doesn't go completely most days

sel2223 · 08/02/2020 21:01

I start each day feeling ok then get steadily more nauseous as the day goes on.... it's definitely at it's worse in the evening and the only times I've been physically sick have been right before bed.
It's definitely not been 'morning sickness' for me!

Babyfg · 08/02/2020 21:55

All three of my pregnancies I felt sick in the mornings and my head would be spinning until I ate something. I was quite lucky and never actually sick but definitely felt worse just after waking up.

Bezalelle · 08/02/2020 22:13

Mornings are the times I feel least nauseous. It ramps up over the course of the day.

Melbs6 · 08/02/2020 22:41

Yeah I’m only nauseous in the mornings. It goes away after I eat something

AAA89 · 08/02/2020 22:50

Man I wish it was only in the morning, I'm currently 12weeks (3rd pregnancy here aswell) and constantly feel sick! have done since 6weeks. I cant keep certain foods down, food shopping is a challenge, being in crowded places is hard with all the smells and I've not been able to use perfumes or any kind of fragrance in my home Sad tried tablets from the dr but they made no difference at all, roll on the next few weeks and hopefully it goes away

LatteLover12 · 09/02/2020 07:50

I hear you @AAA89 I can't open the kitchen cupboards or the fridge without heaving. Even doing the shopping online was a challenge.

I agree with PPs who get gradually worse over the day too. I think I feel worst at about 6pm.

Here's hoping we all feel better soon Thanks

I've had 4 pregnancies (2 babies) with a different experience each time. With the last pregnancy I had "morning" sickness. I was only sick before eating in the morning. I had one pregnancy with no sickness at all, one with all day sickness and one with mild nausea at random times.

Chanel05 · 09/02/2020 09:33

I'm nauseous all day long. I've had about 3 days in total so far when I haven't felt nauseous and I'm 8+4. When I'm physically sick it's in the evenings.

glasha87 · 09/02/2020 15:18

24/7 nausea with very fleeting moments of feeling kind of okay.

9 weeks. I’ve only been physically sick during the last 2 weeks, and that tends to happen in the morning and the early evening.

However, today I’ve had my head down a toilet bowl 4 times already. I can’t even keep water down. I feel so miserable!

Is it normal to suddenly be unable to keep water down?

I can’t remember feeling this shoddy before but perhaps I’ve blocked it out Sad

It’s so shit! You’re not alone.

LatteLover12 · 09/02/2020 16:39

That sounds awful @glasha87 you have my sympathies.

If you can't keep water down tomorrow either then I think a trip to the GP might be in order.

I still haven't been sick yet but the nausea is a strong as ever today.

Hope you feel better soon. Thanks

I did read the other day that sometimes mineral water is toleratex better than tap water @glasha87 but agree speak to gp if still like this tomorrow, you don't want to get dehydrated.

Lovelostnfoundx · 09/02/2020 21:20

I was mostly sick in the morning until I ate. On the odd occasion I would be sick at other points of the day but there would be a trigger like a smell.
