Hi all
My test looked like this with a clear blue test - but it was after the 10 mins time on the box. My period is due today
Thanks for your inputs!!

Hello everyone, I took a pregnancy test a couple of days ago and it was positive albeit the line was faint but it was there, took several others and there is two lines!!
My boyfriend and I definitely want children but we are in state of shock right now.
My last menstrual period started on 6th of January and my cycle is 37/38 days. We had sex on the 20th of January and 26th of January, which is why I am confused is it not to early to be getting positive pregnancy tests and I definitely have tender swollen boobs, fatigue, feel a bit odd off in general.
Any advice would help thanks

Gosh that doesn’t even look like a faint positive to me. How long after the time did it show?

Neednewwellies · 08/02/2020 16:48

@mandy29xx, I suggest you start a new thread with your question. Smile

mandy29xx · 08/02/2020 16:48

Sorry I posted on your thread I thought I was creating own thread oops.
I looked at your picture it is hard to see, there should be a + kind of sign??

rumandbiscuits · 08/02/2020 16:49

It looks like a positive but I'm not sure what it means if it shows up after the time. Have you got another one you can test with?

rumandbiscuits · 08/02/2020 16:52

@mandy29xx the test that the OP has done only needs one vertical line and not a + sign

ree348 · 08/02/2020 16:53

That's a positive! Congrats

Vidhya1234 · 08/02/2020 16:53

@rumandbiscuits@Neednewwellies Its a very faint line (test needs a line not a + in this particular one). I think I checked about an hour after when I saw this result. Yeah, will try a different one later in the week :) Was just wondering if anybody had a similar experience where it came up as a positive after the said time on the box and it was positive

Tricky to say considering you read it an hour after you did it.

Id put it down as a false positive and re-test

lauryloo · 08/02/2020 17:24

I'd test again, but it looks promising. Good luck op

It used to be that evap lines on Clearblue were clearly grey. Blue lines were a def positive. I vaguely remember the instruction sheet showing a few different results that should all be considered positive. But I haven’t done a test in many years.

sel2223 · 08/02/2020 18:32

Maybe not what you want to hear, but I have seen lots of info on the web about evap lines or false positives coming up after the time stated, especially with blue dye tests. I would be cautious about getting my hopes up too much if i was you.
Definitely wait till tomorrow and try again (first wee of the day).
Good luck x

Just wanted to update the thread - it indeed turned out to be false positive, since I got my period today! So, we really should ignore the readiong after the said time. Until next time :) Thought I will update the thread since somebody else may find it useful
