Worried about 12 week scan and the thought of miscarriage

I have my 12 week scan on Monday. I’m terrified something will be wrong even though there’s been nothing to even suggest that.

I’ve read loads of MMC and that’s scared the life out of me. I keep thinking maybe it will happen to me. I’m making my life miserable.

This is my third pregnancy - I have two daughters already.

It's natural to worry but the majority of the time it's good news ! You've had no reason to think anything has happened so just try and be positive and I'm sure all will be good !

I was the same, it's deffo not good to read about these things online and I wish I hadn't as I wouldn't have known it could happen and then wouldn't have been worrying ! It's silly really.

Not long really until Monday and your mind will be put at ease 💕

I’m the same and I had a perfectly healthy scan at 10 weeks and got my 12 week scan next Thursday and I’m so anxious !! I’ve made myself depressed almost , since finding out at 3 weeks. I regret finding forums online etc as they have made me aware of things that I would’ve happily not known anything about before ! The internet can be your friend or biggest enemy at times ! It happened to me but is very very rare if you’ve had no symptoms at all

Looking back I had had quite extreme but very short cramping but because it was my first pg I didn’t realise. Now have a lovely family so it all worked out in the end.

If you’ve been symptom free you are very very likely to have a wonderful scan result tomorrow. Try not to worry

I was EXACTLY the same. I remember waiting outside for my scan ready for bad news... but everything was fine, and odds are totally in your favour that yours will be too! Good luck, and don't panic :)

I have my 12 week scan on Monday too and like you am sooo scared and worried. Due to having already had 1 MC and 3 MMC I am now under the recurrent miscarriage clinic so have already had 2 scans, one at 8+5 and one at 10+5 which all went well and baby was absolutely fine (although wriggly 😂) and had a lovely heartbeat but it still isn't stopping the over thinking and worry.

My scan is on Wednesday and I feel exactly the same....in fact, I posted about this exact thing just last week saying how anxious I was feeling and how I'd convinced myself I was gonna be told of had a MMC.
Google and pregnancy forums are so helpful but can also send your anxiety through the roof if you look at them too much.

@Bellsx same here - I’ve had 3 miscarriages so this time round I’ve had scans at 5, 6, 8 and 9.5 weeks and just got my date through for my 12 week scan, 2 weeks Monday. I’m already thinking something’s gone wrong and I only saw little one on Monday! The worry is all consuming.

@tink2007 it's statistically likely that everything will be totally fine. Please allow yourself you enjoy and feel excited!

I had mmc and found out at a scan - having seen a healthy scan and a heartbeat at a previous scan. I had no symptoms of losing a pregnancy and I had surgical management as my body still hadn't recognised the loss of pregnancy even after 4 weeks of it stopping growth. It was horrible and horrific and I had therapy as I found the experience very traumatising. However, as I said, most pregnancies are totally fine and there's no reason yours won't be! Good luck.

Completely feel where you are coming from, we have our dating scan on the 17th and I want to feel excitement, but I am just full of worry - which also isn't good because worrying never did anyone any good! Just something we have no control over and I think that's the worst part.

I was about to post the same thing as I had a very good early scan at 10 weeks and have my 12 week one on Monday so in 2 days and already anxious

@sel2223 I also have my scan this Wednesday and I'm worried to even though I have had no signs to suggest otherwise. I wasn't this worried when I had my Dd nearly 6 years ago.

Hoping everyones scans this week come out exactly as we wish for!!

Thank you for all your messages. My scan is at 2pm this afternoon so feels like a long wait. I’m not going to lie I’ll be glad when it’s over; I think I have read far too many things online this pregnancy.

Scan all done and baby fine and perfect :) All those worries melted away as soon as he/she appeared on the screen.

Mine was all absolutely fine aswell 💗 We can't believe that we finally have our sticky little miracle growing happily and healthy, dreams can come true 🌈

So pleased your scan went well! Mine us Wednesday so hopefully I'll get good news too.
