Hi all,

Am after a bit of reassurance as I feel I have pestered the midwife so much over the last 3 days.

So I am 38+5 today and have had a bit of a funny week:
Weekend- brown mucus plug
Tuesday morning pain and spotting- we went to the hospital for monitoring of movements which recorded strong Bracton Hicks that I hadn't really been feeling but the midwife was happy with baby.
Wednesday- Braxton hicks all day that I was convinced was the start of labour, they were pretty regular at 20 mins apart all day until I went to bed. I had some spotting in morning which I was told was still my plug coming when I rang.
Thursday-Bleeding after lying down but no cramp when up and about. The pain got really bad during the night and I was recording contractions less than 5 mins apart for over an hour so rang the ward, I was also having heavier bleeding. We went to Hospital to monitor 1am, midwife was happy with baby again and checked my pad to say that the bleeding was just my show and sent us on our way.
Friday-bleeding and cramp throughout the night, eased off when up and about. I've just had a nap down on left side and the cramp and heavy flow again when up.

Is it possible to have a show for this long? Should I be more concerned? I'm reluctant to bother the midwife again just for her to tell me the same thing again.

Thank you.

Have they checked to see if your dilating? I wouldn't worry about calling them as many time as you need to. Iv had 3 babies and have my plug and show but was never any heavy bleeding. Phone again see what they say better safe than sorry
