Hi . Im starting to think about what to buy for when baby arrives and I've seen the SnuzPod but also seen there were safety concerns over them a few years ago! Does anyone know if this is still the case?

Check the Lullaby Trust.

Pods and nests are a safety risk, regardless of the fact that they’re sold in the shops.

What are the safety concerns about the snuzpod? It's not a 'pod' as such like the sleepyhead or poddle pod, it's a side sleeper crib so as long as safe sleep guidelines are followed I can't see why it would be any riskier than a regular crib, cot or Moses basket.

As above, a snuzpod is a bedside crib. The side can be zipped up if you're worried about co-sleeping. Perhaps you're thinking of a sleep positioner such as a sleepy head? Sleep positioners are not recommended for use by the lullaby trust

I have a snuzpod , I love it , I think it was sturdiest of all the bedside cribs my 4 month still in it now , the safety I think is when you have it halfway zipped up as baby could get neck caught and choke but I have mine either up or down even up you can still see through and they are completely safe inside but can still reach from lying down , it adjusts to height of bed and straps to bed also , and the top comes off like a heavy Moses basket for front room in the day

I have the Snuzpod 3 for my little girl when she arrives. I have heard nothing but good reviews about them!
