Phantom pregnancy?

Sorry for the longest post ever (hah can you tell I suffer from anxiety?)

Back in the beginning of December, I got pregnant but was concerned that the lines weren't getting darker so went to the GP. She dismissed the whole thing and basically told me to go home and wait for my period to start, without even looking at any of the tests I’d done, saying - based on my LMP - it was way too early to be testing anyway. Except I’d been charting and had actually ovulated early that cycle and was technically a day late for my AF at that point. She said no, it was a chemical and there was nothing to do but go home and wait for my period, and also told me that I wouldn’t need to come back if I did start bleeding. When I got home I did a CB digital which came up ”Pregnant 1-2" but that evening my dull abdominal cramps, that I'd been having for two weeks, got more intense and during the night I did start bleeding. I stopped again in the afternoon the next day, but was sure it was over, to be sure I did another CB digital the next morning and that said ”Not Pregnant”.

Four days after this my partner and I dtd - way too early, obviously - and then once more without finishing at some point in the middle of the cycle, but I’m not sure when (since my partner didn’t finish I didn’t make a note of it in my fertility app.) And that is the last time I’ve had sex.

I had a weird period at the beginning of January, on time, but just brown spotting for a day, then brown and pink spotting for half a day, with finally some fresh blood for about an hour, then back to brown and another day of brown spotting.

Here’s where the craziness starts… Somewhere along the line, I started realised that my weird abdominal cramps were back, messing with my head. So to put my mind at ease, 14 days after my weird period, I did a FRER in the morning which was a squinter, but I wasn’t sure if it was really pink so dismissed it. The cramps got worse in the afternoon and I couldn’t focus on anything so decided to do another hpt, and this time a CB digital so there would be no doubt or room for interpretation, to ease my mind once and for all. It came up ”Pregnant”...

Fed up with this emotional rollercoaster, I went into EPU the very next day and explained my situation. They agreed to examine me since, if I got a positive pregnancy result the day before and had had cramps and bleeding since the last time I had sex, that would technically count as worrisome. The urine test I did at the EPU was negative and the tranvaginal U/S showed no sign of pregnancy in uterus or anywhere else. It showed two corpus luteum in my right ovary, confirming I’d definitely ovulated at some point (my bbt hadn’t confirmed an ovulation this cycle) but no sac or anything. They drew some blood and was going to call me with the result later in the day. They did - it was negative. Less than 1 HCG, the nurse said. So that was that, I thought.

Well… Since then, I have developed several other symptoms on top of the intermittent dull cramps (now with some fluttering a couple of times as well), I have a bloated and rounded belly even when I'm not constipated (which I have been on and off, but diarrhoea in-between and even then my belly stays round when it's usually not), a lot of backache, on and off dizziness, major fatigue, mood still all over the place, short bursts of nausea when I haven’t eaten in a while, and as of two days ago my breasts have become tender to the touch with very visible veins going all the way to the nipples and the nipples themselves have become sore and also started TINGLING on and off, both of which I've NEVER experienced before, except I did start to get slightly sore nipples just before the miscarriage, but didn’t even get the tingling then (the other "symptoms" on my list I’ve obviously experienced before, just not all at once like this and so persistent)

Also, my next period is now 3 days late.

So, the way I figure, my options are:

  1. phantom pregnancy
  2. early menopause (I’m 33 years old)
  3. cryptic pregnancy
  4. cysts or cancer in ovary or uterus or somewhere

At this point, anything other than cancer would make me ecstatic. My grandmother died of uterine cancer when she was my age. I’m actually quite terrified.

I'm not looking for hope, false or otherwise, and I know that symptoms don't mean anything and that people sometimes miss a period without being pregnant. I'm just wondering if there's anyone else on here going through something similar? (Just feel so alone in all of this cause I can't really talk to anyone about this)

I haven't been through similar, but I feel for you with this. Can you book another GP appointment as soon as possible, for your peace of mind?
