Babies position is wrong in my notes..

I went for a growth scan today & it in part confirmed that my baby is still breech. Her head is top right, bum bottom left.. as expected, she’s been assumed breech since 29 weeks.

However, I’ve noticed in my notes the presentation is listed as Cephalic. I wondered what this meant, so had a google and it appears to mean baby is head down?! Bit confused.. I assume just an error? Will it affect anything going forwards? I’m seeing my midwife again in a week for a regular appointment and she said she’d refer me on if baby was still breech. Will she go with what it says in my notes or feeling my tummy? Will I get another scan at 36 weeks anyway? I don’t want them to get it wrong Confused

Thanks!

I would definitely ring the hospital and explain the situation. It is important to know correctly the baby's position, especially for a vaginal delivery, but also for a c-section they want to know anyways.

If the hospital can't solve the problem, explain it to your midwife.

I'm sure one way or another it will get sorted.

I would definitely ring up and let your midwife know your notes need to be updated - especially with a breech baby.

Yup, second everyone else.

I would add also that she will feel your tummy again at your appointment, so you can mention it to her again then.

Its important to get it right though. You can deliver vaginally if the babies in breech with bum first, but it defo needs monitoring as there are certain types of breech (legs first, etc) where vaginal delivery isnt possible.

Just tell your midwife at your next appointment and they can update your notes.
