Growth chart question

Hi guys,

Quick question on the growth chart, I've been measured the last few appointments and I measure the same as the amount of weeks I am. I was told this is normal and you have a leeway of 2cm either side of this.

On the chart, I therefore expected to be marked along the 50th centile line (due to me being the average/expected size) but I'm just teetering on the 90th Centile line each time. Does this mean my baby is going to be huge? or are they not very accurate?

I get the impression that the measurement is more for checking progression that your bump is growing as well expected and isn’t that accurate at measuring the baby’s size. I was measuring quite small, but a growth scan put the baby exactly on 50th centile, so don’t worry too much!

The size of your bump doesn't equal the size of the baby. My bump didn't grow much in the last 6 weeks but I was already having growth scans and she was growing well.
My sister had a huge bump and had a 6lb baby while our friend had a tiny bump, she was still in her normal coat at 9 months pregnant and back in her jeans the day after giving birth to a 9lb baby.
