Hey! I’m about 4 weeks pregnant and my app says totally normal nothing to worry about with having watery brown discharge but internet is saying to call doctors? I’ve got an appointment booked for 11th March do I mention it then or call up today and ask?

@Leahmorob congratulations on your pregnancy!! 💕

I'd keep an eye on the brown discharge.. they say aslong as it's not red like your period and you arnt experiencing period like cramps it's usually nothing to worry about.

If you are concerned or it becomes heavier call your local early pregnancy unit at the hospital and see what they say.

Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy xx

Hi @leahmorob! I'm now 10 weeks, but started having brown discharge around 4 weeks too. It is most likely nothing at all to worry about, and as long as it's not associated with any cramping or pain you should be fine.

In the end, I did call my doctor because the brown discharge didn't stop after 2 weeks and I got referred for a scan just in case at 7 weeks. Everything was fine and I've just been scanned again at 10 weeks and all is progressing nicely. I still get brown discharge from time to time now, so I'm accepting it as just one of those things. 🤷‍♀️

But if you get any red bleeding or abdominal pain, I would definitely call your GP or EPU and see what they say.
