Has anyone else experienced excitement very early on in a pregnancy? I am 6weeks +6 and I can’t sleep thinking about bringing my baby home and looking after it!! I’m sure other people feel like this but I wanna hear!!! X

It's very exciting when you want a baby and are pregnant. Well done you and hope you keep very well during your pregnancy.

Congratulations. What a lovely post, I'm sleeping next to my 13mth old baby and still feel the same. He's the most perfect doll (currently asleep - very different when he wakes up), I can't believe I'm so lucky. I feel the same about my teenager and so happy to be doing it all again. Enjoy the journey, it is all very exciting.

I'm currently up feeding my three week old daughter, the feeling doesn't go away, well it hasn't for me Smile

I still get that butterfly feeling whenever I look at her and I get excited for everything I will get to experience with her for the first time. She has changed my life and can't imagine it without her now.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Enjoy every moment. I’m currently feeding my 7 week old, I could just stare at him all night. The only thing more exciting will be when your baby is in your arms. It’s an amazing thing that our bodies can actually grow some cells into a real life person! Enjoy your pregnancy!

Yes! I was so excited when i first saw that blue line. One of those memories I'll always treasure because it was so amazing and surreal.

I too now have a 7 week old and it's amazing. She the best thing ever. It's amazing to think she went from a blue line to a baby. Well, not amazing as kinda the predicted outcome lol...

I can’t sleep with excitement OP Grin 13 weeks today and my director at work told the others yesterday so word will be out when I go in. I’m just so excited to be able to share the news with everyone! It’s great isn’t it... we were trying for 10 months and I anticipated all the excitement but it’s even better than I’d hoped presumably will make up for the less fun and painful bits!

Bezalelle · 06/02/2020 06:29

Me too! Despite the nausea, when I think of my baby I feel like crying with excitement!

Bookworm83 · 06/02/2020 08:08

My baby is very much planned and wanted, but when I can't sleep at night it's usually because of sore back or heartburn or just being generally uncomfortable. I wish it was due to excitement!

opticaldelusion · 06/02/2020 12:16

Enjoy it! At six weeks, the hormones scrambled my brain chemistry so much I had massive panic attacks :D

Annafs · 06/02/2020 12:21

I was 4 weeks the day I found out and read the entire NHS pregnancy website plus made a list of things to remember to do that same day! 13 weeks now and seeing the baby grow and develop at scans is amazing and so exciting (had a private 9 week scan and the NHS 12 week scan). Slowly starting to tell family, close friends and work too which is equally exciting. Yay

This thread is a delight Halo
I’m only a few weeks pregnant and I’m so so so excited

Emelene · 07/11/2020 05:06

I'm 2 days overdue and so excited to meet my baby. I can't sleep because of pregnancy insomnia and needing to wee a lot. Grin Congratulations, it's a very exciting time!

Sunshine1235 · 07/11/2020 05:16

Such a lovely thread. Currently up with my 3 week old and as much as I wish she’d go to sleep 🥱 I’m just so grateful that she’s finally here

Coffeecak3 · 07/11/2020 05:26

Congratulations all you ladies.
My two are adults now and I have an 8year old dgs.
Baby days are wonderful.

Newmama29 · 07/11/2020 05:41

This is such a lovely thread but it makes me sad lol! My LO is 9 weeks old & I’m up feeding him the now & I have that feeling looking at him all the time but I miss being pregnant with him & thinking of all the possibilities - what he’ll look like, how he’ll be etc. I felt miserable towards the end of my pregnancy but I now miss it so much & the feeling of him moving around & having a secret bond with him that no one else had Blush it’s so bittersweet having him in my arms now! Cherish your pregnancy OP, I wish I appreciated it more Grin

SugarSW7 · 07/11/2020 09:29

@newmama29 I felt like this too! I was so happy she was here, but then I remembered the excitement of expecting her and massively missed it!!!

I'm pregnant again now and though I'm excited, I'm so preoccupied with my DD, I don't get much time to think about it, but I'm so grateful to be having another baby!

It really is so special, congratulations everyone!
