11weeks and on and off the last two week experiencing very sore pains in stomach that feels like trapped wind, very sharp- usually evening after eating and pains last a few hrs. Anyone experiencing similar? Granted my diet hasn’t been great over the last week with lots of pre prepared and processed food but never had anything like this in 1st pregnancy. Seems to have continued on since I had a stomach bug a few weeks ago. I have an appointment in a few days so will speak to the midwife then for advice but in the meantime it’s rennie and peppermint tea!

Oh god I remember this! I had this so bad in my first two pregnancies. Especially the first.

No words of wisdom as I tried everything. It eventually went on it’s own.

Oh that’s reassuring to hear not just me, some evenings it’s nearly unbearable pain and comes in waves on and off !

yeah i find my IBS is really flaring up at 19 weeks, loads of painful wind pains under ribs in the evening.

Definitely peppermint tea. Also baths helped me. Get a birthing ball and kneel on floor leaning over it and circle hips this helps me get rid of trapped wind. I'm 38 weeks

@Wudgy I agree with peppermint tea it is a life saver!! I also like ginger and lemon Tea as that settles The stomach and doubles up to combat nausea win win. Hope it gets better soon x

I'm nearly 10 weeks and last week the trapped wind was driving mad. Again mine was in the evening, I was having peppermint tea and deflatine tablets.

Try peppermint gum too. Sorry you're dealing with this
