I really wouldn’t worry!!! I’m 34 weeks and have DTD once since my bfp thanks to extreme nausea and fatigue which then got replaced with SPD.

Tombakersscarf · 05/02/2020 19:49

What's your question? If neither of you want to do it, you don't do it. Is the problem that you want to and he doesn't?
Many women are too sick to want to in the first trimester. Some women (and some men) find the idea of piv sex difficult when there's a baby in there! And some worry after a miscarriage etc.

SproutMuncher · 05/02/2020 19:51

Yes, it’s normal for loads of couples

Bezalelle · 05/02/2020 20:27

We tried to DTD once when I was 8 weeks, but I wasn't comfortable so we stopped. I feel the furthest from sexy!

Bol87 · 05/02/2020 20:30

Normal for us! I have HG & raising my heart rate makes me sick .. sooo.. Blush We were much the same last time & I can assure you returned to normal once recovered from labour!

I bled before 20w and the stress was too much. After that hormones said no so we didn’t for the whole pregnancy for our children.

MsChatterbox · 05/02/2020 20:48

We did a bit in the beginning but I'm 20 weeks now and it's been a while and I think that's it for the pregnancy! It was the same with my son. Obviously I conceived again so it didn't stop forever!

Proudpeacock · 05/02/2020 20:50

We didn't as we were a bit nervous and I felt rubbish by the evening anyway. Once we saw everything was ok at the 12 week scan we managed a few times before being told to stop after the 20 week scan showed placenta praevia.

Laurapb88 · 05/02/2020 21:02

We managed to keep going right up until new years eve but now my husband cant get his head around the baby being in there I feel very frustrated lol x

netstaller · 05/02/2020 21:06

Get used to it lol

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 06/02/2020 08:17

We did once at around 16 weeks and it was far from romantic - I have HG, I felt terribly nauseous and hubby was more concerned about me than enjoying it himself - so neither of us had a good time 😂 I'm now 24 weeks and it's the last thing on my mind, I have 0 sex drive.

essexanon · 06/02/2020 13:18

im 14+3 and haven't, im too scared something might happen. silly I know because Im actually frustrated, and want it! but anxiety is getting the best of me right now :-( xx

R2D2abc · 06/02/2020 13:35

If you're both fine with it, why not. We're not sex machines that need to do it at certain times. There are times when it's ok to not be extremely intimate.

If you're worried, talk to your husband. But otherwise as others said, you're not the only one.

SquigglePigs · 06/02/2020 13:40

We didn't for the whole of my pregnancy (and some time afterwards - slow recovery). Morning sickness + horrendous headaches/migraines gave way to pretty severe SPD/PGP so it just wasn't really an option!
