I've had a sweep today and the midwife noted that the cervix was effacing and (I think!) that I was 1-2cm dilated. She was able to touch baby's head. Is there anything I can do to help things along? I'm booked in for a second sweep next week and if that doesn't work it's an induction at term. Thanks for any stories!
