Big baby?

Hi all,
I'm 34 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby.
At 30 weeks I was measuring the tape a few weeks ahead so was sent for a scan.
Baby measuring big but within the lines he should have been on the growth chart.
Had another scan yesterday (4 weeks later)to check the babys growth.

Predicted weight right now is 7.7lbs/7.11lbs.. in their words he's "massive" for me being 34 weeks.

I spoke with the consultant after the scan who explained to me that I would have another scan at 38 weeks, in 4 weeks time and then "we will speak about the mode of labour" after that scan once they've seen the growth of the baby.
She explained that I wouldn't be left to go natural and that I will be booked in to be induced around 39 weeks and if the baby is very large I will be booked In for a c section.
Baby is also breech right now.. I know he can move but I don't know whether they're taking that into consideration.

My placenta is at the front also and I don't have GD I got my results back 3 days ago.

Has any one had a similar experience?
I'm confused as surely people are left to have large babies? Also I know the scans can be wrong.
She did explain to me the risks of having a bigger baby , getting stuck, not progressing in labour etc.

I see my midwife in 2 weeks and Will ask more questions but I just want to know if anyone is going through or Been through any thing similar after a scan showing a bigger baby.

Thanks

Honestly don't worry yet. I had the same, everyone in a massive flap about shoulders getting stuck. He came 5 days early and had a big head... He looked like a 🐸. Absolutely nothing wrong with him and easy ISH labour. He was 8lbs 6 so not small but not massive. Don't worry until there is definitely something to worry about

Same situation here. 28 week - midwife measured 2week ahead and due to previous shoulder dystocia was sent for growth scan. Measured 33 weeks at 30 weeks on the scan Shock and referred to consultant. Got another scan at 34 weeks and again at 37/38. Consultant has said he advises section at 38 weeks if baby continues to measure big. I have heard lots of people who were told huge babies and estimations were completely wrong.

Try not to panic just yet.

All the way through my previous pregnancy I was told baby was measuring big. To expect him to be 9lb +.
Had a scan at 37 +4 (result of reduced movement) and was told at that time he was measuring over 7lb so again to be prepared for a 9lb + baby.
I was induced a week later (for unrelated reasons) and he was born at 38+5 weighing 5lb 10, and was in tiny baby clothes for almost 2 months...

All I'm saying is don't panic too much. They may suggest induction or even c-section depending on their measurements, for the safety of both you and the baby, but don't be at all surprised if things don't turn out as expected!

Congratulations and good luck for your impending arrival :)

Thanks for the replies.
I'm not worrying or in a panic just curious of other women's experiences as I've never known anyone to be told they will be induced or booked for a section if the baby is big.. anyone I know with a 10lb baby was left to go natural. Maybe things have changed I'm not sure?

They said that my daughter would be big and she was a week late and small but weighing 7.10lbs she was like a small dolly though.
I guess I'll just see what happens.. go with the flow. . I had just never heard of being told you're defo not being left to go natural from one scan measurement at 34 weeks.
I would have understood more if she had said it after the one at 38 week's maybe.

Sorry rambling lol.
Thanks for your replies
