I'm so lazy

Today I got up and did the school run, came home and went back to bed, slept 2 hours, had lunch and lay in bed again. I'll be on the school run again soon.
I have 0 energy for doing anything else. Please tell me I'm not the only one!

I work from home and I spend the morning sat at my dining table on the laptop - and then after lunch I flag and lay on the sofa allllll afternoon working from my phone - and I stay there, until I have to make dinner. Then after dinner - I lay back down on the sofa all evening.

Repeat x everyday 😂

ShesGotBetteDavisEyes · 05/02/2020 14:02

I didn’t do that when pregnant - but wish I had! I don’t think I ever once went back to bed with all 4 pregnancies - I told myself it was lazy and I was a bit obsessive about getting the housework done etc.
Enjoy the opportunity while you have it!

I feel lazy as well but I just feel so knackered, I just stay in bed most of the day every single day other than to get food until the evening when people are home and then I socialise for a few hours then go back to bed...and repeat! Pregnancy is knackering!!

Booona19 · 05/02/2020 15:46

No your def not the only one, I've pretty much done the same today just without the nap

Delbelleber · 05/02/2020 16:01

I'm back in my bed. Glad to hear it's not just me. I don't actually remember feeling this wiped out in previous pregnancies. Maybe cos I'm older I dunno

How far pregnant are you @Delbelleber and the others? I feel exactly as you describe but I am only in the 2nd trimester (17 weeks) and believed this was the time I was supposed to stop feeling as tired and start to feel more energised (or glowing!). Instead I am still napping in the afternoons after work and haven't got back into my exercise / swimming regime as I'd hoped!

Delbelleber · 05/02/2020 17:24

I'm 24 weeks. Luckily I don't work every day but the days I work I do long shifts and it is exhausting. No idea how I'll keep going another 3 months or so Sad

With my 2nd I literally use to do the same. I took my son to school went back home got in bed watching films/had some munch and slept untill I had to go back to school. That was pretty much all I did esp towards the end.

Bezalelle · 05/02/2020 17:31

I work from home. I say "work", but these days it's mostly dicking around online and napping. I hope this doesn't persist past the first trimester, or I'm going to fall behind with my projects!

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 05/02/2020 17:45

Im 33 weeks pregnant and have only just started doing this. I wish i'd done it sooner because im pretty sure I made myself ill by 'keeping busy'.

Thompl16 · 05/02/2020 20:47

I'm the same! 30 weeks now and my days are made up of napping and bare minimum housework. I just hope my energy picks up once baby is here! I definitely feel more exhausted this time round compared to DD1.

MsChatterbox · 05/02/2020 21:00

You're not lazy! I remember feeling like this and almost self loathing that I was being so lazy. But it passed and I have more energy now and I'm doing lots more. Your body is just telling you that it needs the rest right now and it's good that you're listening. At some point you will won't feel so tired and will stop being so "lazy"!

Delbelleber · 06/02/2020 08:39

I'm hoping to be more productive today! Hmm
