Hi everyone,
I am almost 9 weeks pregnant and my midwife just told me I have overactive thyroid.

I am so worried I started reading so much on google and it scared me... anyone with overactive thyroid?

Has your midwife referred you to the hospital? I have had an overactive thyroid in the past (Graves) after I had my 1st, so when I was TTC my current pregnancy I was having regular blood tests to check my thyroid levels. My T4 levels were reading as abnormal during early pregnancy, which my midwife panicked about (and made me panic about as well!) but my hospital consultant said it was quite normal for my levels to be showing as abnormal in early pregnancy. I'm 26 weeks now and they're back in the lower end of normal range, with no need for medication. Try not to worry - GPs/midwives aren't as clued up on thyroid as they could be in my experience, so they should be referring you to a consultant at the hospital who will be able to give you the full lowdown.
