Migraines - do they go away?

I’m only 4+6 pregnant and I am experiencing the worst migraines. I’ve always suffered with migraines, but normally only around 8 a year.
Since Friday, I have had 3 agonising migraines. I know this can be a symptom of pregnancy, but I’m wondering if they stay throughout the entire pregnancy or if they calm down as time goes on? Not sure I can handle anymore!
Thanks in advance!

I feel your pain - I’m 15 weeks and have been having one a week, each lasting 2 days. Horrendous. I’m told it settles down after first trimester - I’m still waiting 🙄

If you work, tell your manager/HR because pregnancy associated illness doesn’t count towards your sick leave, whereas repeated migraines will really affect your record

I had never had migraines before I was pregnant. With DC1 they started at around 11 weeks and went on till I was 22 weeks, when they just stopped. I've never had another one since. WIth DC2 I had bad headaches, from 18 weeks, but they weren't migraines. Can't remember when they stopped.

I went to the GP who was very sniffy about the fact I wasn't taking any medication. Despite the fact I was pregnant and was trying to avoid taking anything!

You have my every sympathy. I wouldn't wish a migraine on my worst enemy.

I don’t suffer with migraines but have experienced awful headaches that have made it impossible to do day to day things. I’ve had to sleep them off but they haven’t lasted more than a few hours. These have gone now (18 weeks) but lasted from around 13 weeks to 18 weeks. Fingers crossed s your migraines stop too :) x
