31 week and period pains

I'm 31+3w and have been getting period pains on my lower right side and faint lower back ache. Should I be concerned? Or is it just everything getting ready? There's no pattern to it, it just happens every so often it the past few hours

I suspect Braxton hicks (sp?). Fine to call the MWs and ask them to advise. But when it's real labour, you can't ignore it & it doesn't seem to stop, was my experience.

Im 33 weeks and get the same on and off. Its not regular, every now and again. Sometimes it is quite painful though, one 'period pain' woke me up during the night.

As they're not regular and go away after a while im not particularly concerned. Ive put them down to Braxton Hicks. If they were more regular and not going away id be more concerned. That said, im a fairly laid back person. If its worrying you, call your maternity unit.

My BH were an all over tightening rather than one-sided pain. I think I'd call the mw - is particularly want to exclude an UTI. They never mind you calling. Hope alls well.
