Currently in limbo as I wait for bloods to come back and an 'official' diagnosis, however Dr. Google (I know!) spits out pregnancy induced/gestational hypertension as a potential reason for my situation.
Essentially I have had two elevated blood pressure readings (Fri and Mon) but other than some sexy puffy feet (all day) and swollen hands (only when laying down a long time) I do not have any other signs of pre-eclampsia. GP has taken bloods today and I'm going back in a couple of days for a follow up. Currently 37 weeks.
Has anyone been in the same situation? If so, what happened? Did you have to take any medication or were you just closely monitored up until you went into labour? Did you get to your due date or go early/be induced?
Latest blood pressure reading today was 118/93, and I think it's the bottom reading that's setting off potential alarm bells.
I am not on maternity leave for another 10 days and was looking forward to some downtime before baby came so I'm worried this might trigger early labour/being induced!
