Twelve week scan this afternoon and would love a handhold

I’ve not slept, I feel awful. Our appointment is at 2:30

I felt exactly the same I had my 12 week scan 3 weeks ago I just kept myself busy and they so friendly my mind was put at ease it natural to worry but I'm sure all will be fine and it just your mind panicking good luck and enjoy its lovely experience

Thank you both, I’m a natural worrier. I had an early scan and all was fine. So I’m sure nothing’s changed over that short time!

I had a colleague say “I don’t know how pregnant ladies cope, it’s like schrodinger’s baby.” And I think that was quite possibly the least helpful thing I could’ve heard.

I'm with you OP, mine is at 11.15. I feel exactly the same but we need to focus that the chances are all will be fine. I felt like this with my DS too and all was well. Atleast either way we will know by this evening and can stop stressing about it!

Ninja! Yes we can. I wish I had been given a morning appointment. It’s going to be such a long day! X

I had my 12 week scan last week, going to see the dr in an hour and a half for all the 1st trimester screening and bloods results. It was amazing seeing the baby, and they are really quick to reassure you everything looks ok. I said thank god it's not twins, and the sonographer told me it's awful having to tell parents it's twins lol which really put another spin on it for me!

I think that nearly everyone feels something will be wrong before a scan. I certainly did every time I had one. Everything was fine.

I was the same. Did not sleep at all the night before. I have my anomoly scan tomorrow and now feel exactly the same about that!

I'm 12+2 now and an absolute nervous wreck. Got to wait another 9 days for my scan and I'm convincing myself something will be wrong when I go.

I was a nervous wreck the morning of our 12 week scan, I was literally on the brink of tears.
