Help ladies! Has anyone else had a trace of ketones in urine during pregnancy?? Is it dangerous im so stressed out 😭😭

Have you been eating and drinking properly? A trace is not dangerous.

It usually means your body is burning up some fat to obtain energy. It can happen if you haven't eaten enough carbs , or if you've been sick and haven't had sufficient nutrition. A trace is fine - nothing to worry about.

Hi I had a trace last week at my 20 week scan. The consultant really didn’t seemed worried -although I was! As other posters have said, she thinks it is if you haven’t eaten for a while. I had eaten very recently but had had a gap of about 5 hours or so between the that meal and my breakfast so she thinks that my other food hasn’t processed. Also if you hadn’t had as much water as usual it might be more likely to show ketones. Don’t worry, if they were worried they would be monitoring.
