Has anyone used a travel cot as main bed?

Hi I've just been getting completely overwhelmed by the choices in cots!

Was just wondering if anyone has used a travel cot as a main cot? The lullaby trust website says it's ok to use a travel cot as a main cot if you're squeezed for space, but it worries me that the mattresses are thinner and I imagine not as comfortable.

Just wondered what peoples experiences of this were?

Particularly looking at the joie kubbie travel cot.

Thank you!

Hi! As a kid between the ages of 6-12 my father would make me sleep in a camping cot instead of a bed because "I wasn't there enough to earn a bed." (split custody). In my experience, it's honestly more uncomfortable than sleeping on concrete for a week straight. the metal holding it up is very painful to be sleeping on through the fabric. Nothing about them are comfortable, and shouldn't be a permanent sleeping arrangement for older children.
