7 weeks and pain in one hip

Has anyone else experience pain in one hip around 6-7 weeks? The pain in dull and achy, sort of further around the hip, almost in the cheek.

Is it just maybe a trapped nerve as things start to grow or should I be contacting the midwife? I'm worried they'll refer me for an early scan which could bring on a miscarriage or they'll find it Ectopic :(

It's not consistent pain, but it reoccurring on the left hip.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing?

Thank you, R x

@RaachelMorrow firstly congratulations on your pregnancy!!!!

With regards to the pain in your hip I have no idea it could be a case that your body is growing and you'll experience different pains here and there as your body is adjusting to your growing baby! It's most likely just aches and pains.

Talking from experience.. I had an Ectopic pregnancy last year and I didn't experience pain in my hip... it was left side of my lower abdomen and left lower back and the pain was excruciating and also followed by bleeding. It wasn't confirmed to be an ectopic until it was too late and my tube had already ruptured.. so had to have it removed in the end.

Is here any chance you can maybe pay for a 8 week private scan if you are concerned? That might give you a lot of peace of mind xx

@MoStew18 yes I'd love to get an early scan but I've heard it can be quite intrusive and bring on miscarriage so I'm a bit scared!

On the other hand I've done nothing but worry since I've found out. So I honestly don't know what to do!

I had this at around the same time. I put it down to everything stretching/relaxing.

I had it with my first pregnancy too and he is now 15 months old 😁

@RaachelMorrow I had a vaginal scan last week as I'm now pregnant again around 7 weeks also and everything is fine and healthy was able to see babies little heart beat too which was just amazing... a lot of woman have the vaginal scans as they are common practice... I definitely wouldn't worry about them bringing on a miscarriage baby is protected by womb lining and everything else... I'm sure they wouldn't be offered if they were a risk of miscarriage... I'd definitely go for a scan if it's just a case of reassurance 💕xxx

@MoStew18 this is so lovely to hear! Congratulations 🎉❤❤ My partner is skiing st the minute but when he's back I think I'll speak to him about a private 8 week scan. Peace of mind is priceless, especially when there's so much change going on in your body! X

This is bizarre as I could have wrote this post myself this morning! (I'm 6+6, 7 weeks tomorrow)

I ended up ringing the local EPAU early this morning to ask for advice and they asked me to come in around an hour and a half later. I had all the checks done with my blood pressure, check of my HCG levels etc and after a very long wait it came back really positive. Because of the long wait we also were offered a very quick scan (didn't even last for 2 minutes) just to check the location and sure enough they spotted a little one with a heartbeat right where it's meant to be!

I'm no wiser in relation to my hip pain but just wanted to share my experience this morning to help put your mind at ease! Maybe ring your EPAU to ask for advice and they may do the same for you too. Wishing you lots of luck! Flowers xx

@Ibe0 oh my gosh, isn't this just lovely?! My partner is skiing until Thursday so I think I'm going to take it easy and wait it out until then, until the pain gets worse.

But its great to know I'm not the only one and you had such a positive experience.

Congratulations on your little bundle!
