Ok so I'm 8 weeks pp with third baby and third c section!
I know I'm going to sound crazy as I have had the worst time with this pregnancy and even more
so the c section and recovery!!
But I am keen to have another baby (my last) which obviously will again be by c section! I was keen to have a small gap as I'm 36 now and would ideally like to start trying when this baby is 6 mo the old! I know they suggest 12-18 months u till trying and this will be my fourth section but just wk deter if anyone got pregnant soon after section and if everything was ok especially if you had already had multiple sections
Thanks

I think they recommend 12-18 months for a reason . But at the end of the day it’s your choice and everyone is different but I do think you should be careful

Please don’t rush your next pregnancy OP. A close friend of mine had 17months between her two CS (not planned).
Short version of the story is that if her CS day had been a day or two later she & her baby would have died. Her scar was stretched so thin it was about to break and she almost had to have a hysterectomy in as well as a CS as they couldn’t get the stitches in as her womb was paper thin at the scar sight.
After many blood transfusions all ended well but it could have been so different.
Your other children need you. Please take medical advice on this. It’s there for a reason

If you've had 3 sections already, presumably in quick succession, are you sure you want to have a fourth in a year's time? Each pregnancy becomes more complicated after a section, with an increasing risk of the placenta getting attached to the scar tissue, and each CS itself will become a more complicated operation, with increasing risks, which could make your recovery more difficult and more painful.

Also, you are only 8 weeks in with having 3 children, do you really not think it's best to wait and see how you get on with 3, before embarking on no. 4? You may find it ok now with a newborn, but it will only get harder as the baby starts sleeping less, moving more and needing more attention.

At 36 time is still on your side if you do decide on a fourth...

I had a massive gap before my kids at 16. 11 and newborn x
