Hello,

I found out I was pregnant last week. Totally unexpected as we were using protection but myself and DH are very happy with the news.

However, I was very poorly with the flu and norovirus before I found out I was pregnant and took Night nurse twice. I also used to occasionally have one of the kids vitamin gummies which have Vit A in it.

Really scared I've caused damage to the baby. Found out I was pregnant about 7 weeks. Must have taken the Night Nurse when I was about 6 weeks and I stopped having the kids vitamin gummies as soon as I found out.

I have a appointment with the Midwife next week so will obviously tell her but I'm so worried I've caused harm to the baby.

Could I please have some reassurance that everything will be ok x

Hello I had the same worries, I had taken Sudafed and a load of herbal products before I knew I was pregnant, and was taking multivitamins with vitamin A in every day, but I had my 20 week scan this week and they couldn’t see any issues, so I think as long as you stop them when you do find out people will be fine Smile loads of people smoke and drink before they find out they are pregnant and their babies are fine too!

Yeah I wouldn't worry! I had a couple of big nights out literally just before I found out and taking ibuprofen and I'm currently 34 weeks and 4 days with a healthy girl 😊 so don't stress, it happens all the time!

Thank you for your replies, definitely helped with my worrying!

Fingers crossed everything will be ok.
