What is your plan for childcare when you go into labour?

I'm having a c section and will send my youngest to his dad's as it will be on a Thursday so he will have him for weekend my other is 18 so he will be fine

My mum is self employed so can come at any time and stay with son. She is however 3 hours away which makes me slightly nervous! If I didn't have my mum, I would labour alone whilst husband stayed with son.

My first is 20 years old so I'm hoping he'll be able to look after himself Grin It's my dogs I'm worried about but my mum will come to stay whilst we're at the hospital (having a planned c-section)

Same as a PP. Got both mine and DHs parents on standby.l, luckily my mum is part time and both of his parents are retired. Hey also both live about 15 minute drive from us (I'm aware just how lucky we are!).

I packed a bag for DD when I did the baby's bag the other day and she loves sleepovers at her grandparents so hopefully won't be too disruptive for her.

I had my second recently.
We don't have any family in the country so we asked our childminder if we could call her short notice to ask if she was available (she's very accommodating).
Plan B would've been DH looking after DC1 and me giving birth without him.
In the end, we all went to hospital at 3am and I had the baby pretty much straight away with DH there and DC1 in the pram.
We did send DC1 to the childminder in the morning for the day, which was helpful as we were both knackered!

We have a housemate and friends near by. She’ll be just 2 when the new baby comes.
