Apologies in advance for TMI!!
Hi all, as the title explains, I'm 34 weeks pregnant and worried because I have somehow developed thrush, a UTI and have had some spotting/bloody discharge, all in the last 24 hours. I spent a couple of hours in hospital last night as I had noticed blood in my urine and discomfort in my pelvic area. After calling triage they told me to come in. The doctors monitored me and checked vitals, did blood and urine tests and I was sent home with antibiotics for a UTI based on results. Then today I started spotting and have thrush symptoms too (think I've had the thrush symptoms since yesterday but the spotting/bloody discharge is new). I spoke to a midwife who told me to continue with the antibiotics and use some OTC thrush cream and to rest and drink fluids, all of which I am doing.
Last night at the hospital they mentioned that UTIs can bring on early labour and I'm now worried that the bloody discharge is a sign of that (perhaps this is a "bloody show" or mucus plug?)
I really don't want to go into labour as I am scheduled for a planned c-section and have Tokophobia.
Has anyone got any advice or experienced similar re my symptoms?
