Appetite problem!!!

I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant and my appetite is through the roof. I'm literally hungry, stomach growling every hour especially at night.
I'm worried about too much weight gain - because all I am craving that's satisfying me is toast and butter. This tends to keep that nauseated feeling away
Has anyone else experienced this?

Take it whilst you can!! I am currently 7+4 and I'm SO sick. I was exactly the same as you two weeks ago, but right now I can barely eat more than a couple of mouthfuls and I don't have any cravings or foods that I fancy despite being so hungry. I've been off work for two days because I'm so exhausted and so nauseated.

Take care of yourself and embrace all of it, weight gain shouldn't be an issue right now. Eat little and often and enjoy it xx

I second that advice!! I was starving like you at first now I'm 7 weeks 3 days and feel so sick I can't finish meals! Don't worry about getting fat, eat as much healthy thinking's as you can as well and keep nice and active. Xx

Meant to say, eat as much healthy things as you can

Xx

@Anniepole it's quite reassuring to know I'm not the only one who's experiencing this! Smile

First baby I was ravenous throughout

This pregnancy I was ravenous at around 5 weeks but have not had much appetite since (now 24 weeks)

@newlymarried2019 I told a close friend today I was pregnant and her first response was "make sure you don't get fat" .

that was the wrong thing to say to a highly emotional woman so I nearly tore her limbs off and ate them in front of her so she knows just how worried I am about getting fat Grin

Do what you need to do to get through it!

I was constantly at the beige buffet throughout my first trimester and put on about a stone. In the second, my appetite for healthy food picked back up and I was able to exercise again. The weight gain has been much steadier since.

Than you so much everyone for your replies!
Currently sitting in bed eating my beige buffet of stodgy toast topped with banana 😂. Very unusual for me, but hey it's making me feel good so I'll just go with it!x

I've never known anything like my appetite in pregnancy I would say it was 4x my normal. I put on 3 stone and went up 4 dress sizes. I had a really big baby but I regret how much weight I put on. I'm back down to a 12 now but still a stone to go to be back to a healthy BMI and I want to be a 10 again.

Try to eat healthy foods defo don't starve yourself but be mindful is what I'd say (and what I'll try with future pregnancy!)
