Hi all!

I'm 35+3 with my first baby! Babies head has been engaged since 32+4 my last midwife appointment was 6 days ago my midwife said the baby is quite low now and not to be surprised if she comes early!Shock

Over the past few days I've been feeling very drained but restless I can't sleep. I've had constant heartburn for 3 days now and when the heartburn eases I'm having problems breathing! I can't seem to catch a break :(. Everyone keeps telling me that once the baby dropped my heartburn and breathing struggles should have eased, which doesn't help me! Has anyone experienced anything similar or does anyone have any advice?😩

My son is extremely long (95th centile when he was born and still now at 5 months) his head was right down from 36 weeks onwards and his feet were still jabbing me in the ribs during labour. When they move down they can just spread out a bit more!

Sounds really uncomfortable. Progesterone softens your diaphragm with makes stomach acid able to reach your esophagus. But as soon as baby comes it will disappear Wink

My worry is that I'm going to have heartburn all day everyday until this little one decides to make an appearance ! I'm also concerned about her coming early 😱

37 +2 and baby was 4/5 engaged at last midwife appointment two weeks ago.

I still at times feel like I'm getting kicked in the ribs or that it's hard to breathe if I sit in certain positions and another midwife told me he feels like a good size so perhaps long babies don't give you any relief 🙈

Seems like you have a long baby - I felt similar. Baby’s head was really low and legs with right up under my boobs and I had the worst heartburn and reflux. During labour despite the epidural I felt his legs slide out of my upper abdomen - it was the strangest feeling and stopped my heartburn immediately lol.

This explains a lot my midwife did ask me if my husband was tall at my last visit I thought it was a bit of a strange question! I'm only 5'1 but my partner is over 6ft. I feel like she is literally everywhere inside of me she has made her feet nice and comfy in my ribs and likes to remind me every now and then that she's in there by kicking away, I feel like she is trying to completely rearrange my organs !

Everyone's advice to me has been to "enjoy my sleep while I can" - I don't think they have ever tried to sleep with heartburn and a baby playing football with your ribcage as well as pushing down on your bladder 😂
