Hi everyone so we’ve been through Ivf and found out we are pregnant with twins! But since all I have felt is really down. I don’t know what’s happened, I couldn’t wait to be a mummy, and who wouldn’t want twins! I’ve done nothing but sleep, I don’t want to go out and do things ( other than I have to go to work) I’ve felt sicky everyday, I haven’t even told many people I am pregnant. Please tell me this feeling can be Normal? 😔 why does this happen when I was so excited. 😢😔

I have been feeling exactly the same. I was so happy to be pregnant when I first found out, but then from about 6 weeks I started to feel horrendous and so so tired. I was literally too exhausted to do anything and I just didn’t feel like myself and felt really down. I’m now 10+3 and although I don’t feel 100%, I feel so much better. I can see the other side now. I started to feel better as soon as I got to 10 weeks. Hold on, you’ll feel like yourself again soon x

Thankyou for replying. I’m so glad it’s Normal. It’s a horrible feeling isn’t it, when it’s something you’ve always wanted but in them weeks your head is all over the place, hopefully getting to 10 weeks will hurry up and I will feel more myself. Thanks again x

I was exactly the same. Ours is also a very much wanted ivf baby but the hormones and anxiety were so overwhelming that sometimes I wondered if I’d made a mistake. I’m 19 weeks now and it’s miles better. I think 10/11 weeks was the turning point for me. When the placenta takes over your hormones balance out a bit. It was also the time I stopped my FET meds and I wondered if the two were linked.

Very normal! Not IVF but very much a wanted baby following a recent mc but tbh I am absolutely hating pregnancy despite being so grateful to be doing this. I’m 11 weeks now and slowly the nausea, vomiting, extreme fatigue and general feeling crap is slowly getting better. I’m hoping it continues to ease off so I can enjoy at least some of it Smile

Not pregnant via IVF but had this same feeling early on. Wanted a baby so badly, my heart ached everytime I saw a baby. Got pregnant and was completely over whelmed by fear and sadness, kept thinking "Oh no, what have we done?? We can't do this, I'm not ready etc".

Safe to say, that's passed and I'm very excited! :D

I think it's just a combination of anxiety and hormones.....that and just feeling so exhausted all the time!
Ours isn't an IVF baby but it's our first and I was surprised how low my mood was for the first 10 weeks or so. I just had no motivation to do anything and would have slept all day everyday if I could have.
I'm 11+5 now and finally allowing myself to feel happy about being pregnant.

It's so normal, really it is. I felt so similar throughout the early weeks of my pregnancy with DD1. It will get easier, honestly.

4 cycles of IVF and a FET here and had the same. 16 weeks now and feeling so much better. Hormones are a bitch!! It will all settle I promise. What you are feeling is totally normal (IBF pregnancy or not), having a baby is a huge thing! Congratulations, you will love having twins too xx
