Could having a cold bring on labour or post pone it?

38 weeks+1 and have developed a stinking cold. Just curious if it could bring labour on a bit earlier or do you think my body would fight it until I feel better?

Not sure I would have any energy to go through labour right now, I can’t even breathe through my nose right now let alone push a baby out😭

I had a huge, painful abscess at 40 weeks with dc2. The doctors refused to do anything about it because I was term (helpful). It popped at 40+4 and I went in to labour within hours. I'm convinced my body held off until it knew it could do the job properly.

No. I developed a cold during labour. Didn't realise until after as my new born baby daughter lay asleep and I couldn't cos I was endlessly blowing my nose!

Trust me, labour will take precedence!
