Why is time going so slowly!

It feels like yesterday that I did my test that came back positive. (Granted it was only 3 days ago) but it feels like time is going so slowly and all I want is to just see my baby! But I've got to wait a whole 2.5 weeks!
I feel so silly for moaning about time going slowly, I know that I should be treasuring it but it's just too slow!

It really is slow! It's excruciating. I thought exactly the same.
But a few years from now, you'll be saying 'why is it all going so fast??'. Enjoy this time. My best friend gave me that advice, and I didn't really listen. Turns out she was so right!!
Congratulations x

@ScatterBrain912 i know what you mean! I found out at 4 weeks. Im now 6 weeks and my first scan seems like ages away. Im going for a private one at 10 weeks, and i dont know how ill manage to wait another 4 weeks!

I'm 18 weeks and feel like I've been pregnant for about 18 years!

ejmay90 · 29/01/2020 21:27

26 weeks here and it's still going slow in my eyes!

Treaclepie19 · 30/01/2020 07:27

Same! I found out a week ago and am 4+4 today.
This is my 4th pregnancy though so I'm holding onto the fact it does eventually speed up.

Bezalelle · 30/01/2020 07:37

It's such a waiting game! I got a BFP on Christmas Day, then my booking-in appointment wasn't until Jan 24th. Now my first scan is Feb 24th. Grrr! Due date end of August - seems like a lifetime away!

ScatterBrain912 · 30/01/2020 08:08

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feel this way.
I spoke to my OH about it yesterday, and he said that it's because I keep thinking about it. HOW CAN I NOT?! Grin but I guess he's right, because it's the biggest thing in my life right now I keep thinking about how far along I am and thinking it every day makes it go slower.

@Bezalelle you're in the same timeline as me, I got BFP 24/12 also, booking in appointment 23/1/20, then 12 week scan (will be 12 +3) on 20/2/20! I am desperate to tell people why I look and feel sh*t as I think they currently believe I'm just in a dramatic mood 😂

GaaaaarlicBread · 30/01/2020 08:25

My gosh I totally get you !! I’m 9 weeks 4 days and it’s going sooooo slowly it’s painful !! I’ve got two weeks to go (two weeks today actually) until my 12 week scan and it can’t come quick enough !
Congrats though on your pregnancy !! So exciting !

GalaxyGirl24 · 30/01/2020 08:26

@ScatterBrain912 you're right, it's so hard to not think about it whereas my husband is just coasting along in his happy bubble. I'm a worrier so I've had 3 private scans already and due 12 week scan 20/2/20 on NHS. I keep planning all sorts of things such as my checklist of items, baby's nursery but then feeling panicked and thinking I'm jinxing myself! I've read too much on here to feel settled!

starlightmagic · 30/01/2020 08:57

30 weeks here and I feel like I’ve been pregnant forever 😭

Annafs · 30/01/2020 09:26

I have my 12 week scan next week and this feels like the longest week of my life! I’m currently only working 2 days a week so the other days are dragging whilst I lay around moping because I feel like shit!
