I'm 15 weeks today :) but I've been suffering with nausea since week 6. It seems to me that I'm craving sweet things, but then if I eat something sweet, no matter what it is, healthy or unhealthy, I have terrible nausea for the rest of the day. In some cases it has left me feeling shaky and weak. If I eat something savoury, like brown rice or wholemeal bread it seems to even me out a bit.

I was tested for diabetes in my booking appt and next week have another mw appt so will mention. I just wondered if anyone had experienced similar.

Hello,
Yes I had something similar. I had nausea from week 2 to week 16/17. Eating sweet things made it worse. Eating savoury things made it better! Glad to say that nausea has finally gone, so hang in there ;-)

Yep - I threw up for my entire pregnancy, except for 2 weeks at the end and processed sugar was one of my vomiting triggers. Even the smell of something sweet would have running for the bathroom to dry heave.

I didn't have GD, I was just very unlucky.

Sugar made me so nauseous the whole pregnancy. I took a lot of chocolate to the hospital for after birth Smile

Thank you for your replies, I'm going to avoid it entirely today and see if that helps. So annoying as I've been craving pain au chocolat on a daily basis Grin

Yes, I had this. Still can't look at a lemon meringue pie after having a slice out of politeness at 7 weeks when I wasn't ready to tell people yet and then having to try to keep it down!!

I'm the same.
I'm 33 weeks and I want to eat sweet things but I know if I do I will feel awful!!!! And so sick.
Around 20 weeks I ate haribos and felt horrendous!! It's helped me keep the weight from piling on though so one plus lol.
