Any truth in heartbeat speed or old wives tale?

Just as the title says really, do you think there is any truth in the 140bpm rule? X

Nah, my baby has a heart rate of 140-150 and is a boy. I believe it says that higher heart rates are supposed to be girls?

Nope! I have a boy and expecting another and their heartbeats have always been above 150 and they say boys are much lower.
I don't really believe any of the old wives tales as everything points to girl for me this time but I am expecting another boy (which I am very excited about, I would've been chuffed either way!).
