12 week scan

Hi guys we have our 12 week scan next week (il be 13weeks) what happens at these scans?

I was in with the sonographer for about 15 minutes. She measured the baby and typed some stuff up and told me everything looked normal. Then she asked if I wanted photos, printed them for me and told me to pay at reception while I book an appointment for my 20 week scan. :)

I think it probably depends on where you are. I'm in the UK. For me, the scan took about 15-20 mins while she checked the baby and checked for Down's syndrome. Then I had a blood test.
