I am sorry this has probably been done a hundred times before but it is 7.20 am and I really fancy a glass of cold ginger beer. Crazy I have had loads of indigestion but there you are.

I almost cried in Sainsburys on Sunday because I couldn't find bread pudding and had to make do with bread and butter pudding instead (hmmmm!)

estobi1 · 02/09/2007 08:01

I am due on to have cs on about 19th October (due date 26th October) starting to feel very heavy - what about you? How do you think it will be with 2? Sorry he decided to keep you up all night - hope you had a better night sleep last night. Do you have a dp/dh to help you out?

I don't think I could manage banana and marmite sandwich peanut butter and banana would be nice

Dh is away working at the mo but when he's here he's very hands on so I miss him dreadfully. I'm trying not to think about the practicalities of managing 2 LOs. I have an older DD who goes to uni in 3 weeks so I've been a bit distracted with helping her organise everything. DS didn't sleep through until 14mths so I'm just hoping this one will be a bit more cooperative

I had a lovely night's sleep last night thanks . DS' new grobags arrived yesterday so he slept well too (think the old ones were too small & he was overheating )
Did you have a cs last time? (haven't had one myself)

iris66 · 02/09/2007 08:58

arnica and hypericum are good homeopathic remedies (for bruising/healing cuts respectively) btw

PregnantGrrrl · 02/09/2007 13:14

Fruit Pastille ice lollies...i eat between 4 - 8 a day.

mummylittle · 02/09/2007 14:40

Vinegar - i cant get enough of it!! I had 3 packets of salt and vinegar crisps in a row yesterday!! xx

Nbg · 02/09/2007 14:41

Ice cubes are my thing and sponges.

Again!

I could sit and crunch and chew them all day.

kiansmum · 02/09/2007 23:15

Nbg,
My cravings are also ice cubes and sponges. I also can't get enough of slush puppies!!!

PregnantGrrrl · 03/09/2007 09:15

ate about 6 lollies yesterday...sure it's bad for my teeth, but it could be worse. It's not like i'm eating 6 burgers a day (she says, trying to make herself feel better)

PippiLangstrump · 03/09/2007 09:40

mayonnaise mayonnaise mayonnaise and thai soup (with lemongrass and coconut) and lots of veggies.

cannot stand milk (which I normally love) coffe, tea, alchool and chocholate.

apologies for sounding so healthy, i swear I am quite the opposite normally.

sponges? what real ones?

Nbg · 03/09/2007 09:58

Sponges, have to be the cheap ones that smell
I just want to sniff and bite them all day.
Ice cubes have to be just ice cubes. I'm buying big bags of them atm.

kiansmum · 03/09/2007 10:50

Nbg,
Yep, that's the sponges i like too. They have to be wet and then i chew on them!!!!
I was making my own ice cubes but kept running out so bought bags!!!
We must sound like right weirdos. The things pregnancy does to us!!!

PippiLangstrump · 03/09/2007 11:34

I know they are not those but all i keep picturing in my head are my dirty smelly sponges that sit on my sink!!! yuk!

GoodGollyMissMolly · 03/09/2007 12:25

Yesterday I was craving Mars bars covered in thick double cream, but thinking about it now make me want to heave.

Usually my cravings are for Turkish Delights

Nbg · 03/09/2007 12:50

In fact this has reminded me to put sponges on the shopping list for dh.

Its gonna be a good night

I've had this with all my pregnancies.

Bettymamma · 03/09/2007 12:52

bacon frazzles

designerbaby · 03/09/2007 13:05

Dr Pepper.

About 2 cans a day...

I'd probably had two cans in my life before i got pg... and have never been into fizzy drinks...

SURE I'm going to turn mysef into a diabetic with all that horrible sugar....

DB
xx

estobi1 · 04/09/2007 08:15

Iris66 - this is my first cs thanks for the tips - good luck with everything when are you due? Fingers crossed for a sleepy baby (I never slept until I was 2 and my brother was the complete opposite so there is hope, every baby is different of course).

Sponges?!! I have never heard of that one!

Turkish delight bars - in my last pregnancy I couldn't get enough of them together with tropicana orange juice (porobably why my daughter has ginger hair!)

Can't abide the smell of petrol which normally I love. Not so keen on Chinese takeaway which is good. Don't think I could go as far as lemongrass though.

David Tennant

iris66 · 04/09/2007 10:07

DD - big boxes of rowntrees fruit gums (at least 1 per day)
DS - banana & marmite sandwiches
current pg - fizzy vimto

I can't help thinking of bathroom sponges, when you all say sponge, rather than the edible kind
estobi1 - bonfire night (to drown out my elephantine grunts ) hope everything goes well for your cs

Rainbowdays · 04/09/2007 11:27

Fishcakes - yuk can't stand the things, but suddenly really really want them..... had one at the weekend and it was just what I needed. Wierd. I also can't stand anything sweet... now that is unheard of for me too.

estobi1 · 04/09/2007 11:39

I really fancied fish in my last pregnancy which I can't stand normally and my dd is violently allergic to it - wierd!
