My first time posting! I'm 9 weeks pregnant and yesterday I woke up bleeding. I went to doctor and she referred me for a scan this morning. I continued to bleed on and off yesterday and last night. This morning it was heavier. I went to hospital and scan showed a heartbeat but they said the baby was alot smaller than they would expect it to be at 9 weeks. The midwife said it's a threatened miscarriage and gave me cocodamol and sent home to wait 😠I was too upset to ask at the time but now I'm wondering how can there still be a heartbeat? And also on the scan the baby wasnt in the big black area on the picture it was inside a small pocket like area in the grey area of the picture (if that makes sense) does anyone know why that could be?
