Night sweats - worries I've harmed baby

I am 16 weeks pregnant and for quite a few weeks, most nights have woken up sweating - and really thirsty. I've also been experiencing headaches. I thought it might be down to hormones but my duvet is quite heavy -10.5 tog - thinking that may have something to do with it - I'm worried I've caused harm to my baby. Am I being stupid or should I get things checked over? I am going to use a lighter duvet cover going forward....

I don't think you will have harmed the baby lovely but I would definitely up your fluid intake, the baby will take the nutrition it needs so the headaches your getting are probably dehydration.

Thank you - I've just got myself worked up about it I think. I have been drinking 1-2 pints of water a night so hopefully tat has helped.

Mention it to your midwife, I'm sure it's just because you're getting a bit hot but excessive thirst can be a sign of diabetes so it's good to get it checked out.
