/week/life.

I'm so constipated.

I'm full of fruit and fibre but it just doesn't want to move through. My belly hurts all the gosh darn time!

I just want a normal, not pebbly, poop.

I've got my booking appointment with the midwife today. Would it be worth asking if they can prescribe anything?

Yes get some lactulose. Also drink loads of water and if you can face it prunes, dried apricots and kiwi.

Go direct to the source and use a glycerin suppository

Ooh haven't added kiwi into the fruit salad that is my diet yet. Thanks!
I'm drinking as much water as I can physically manage.

It's the only drink that makes me feel particularly sick though 🤢

If it's just coming out as pebbles all the fluids and fibre in the world wont help as its dry and stuck at the bottom one thing you need to do is avoid constipation later on in your pregnancy I had that and during labour it ummm unblocked..🤮

Try squatting to poo. If you can't manage it on the loo, then put a potty or nappy underneath you on the floor. Grin

Even better if preceded by plenty of water, a walk and a few squats.

Fruit juices like orange, coconut water or prune juice are better as your gut will absorb them rather than if you have too much water you just wee it out. Also weetabix, dried apricots.

I had lactulose when pregnant and it worked a treat 😳
Gave me horrendous wind, though! Grin

I’m so constipated too! I’m 9 weeks 3 days and haven’t had a poo for three days it won’t budge !! Not even pebbles ! ☹️😧

You definitely need lactulose. It's very gentle but effective.
