Hi all. This is my 1st pregnancy and i am a bit nervous at every symptoms.
It's been a week since I've been having period like pain on my pelvic area which can be quite strong. They only last 10 minutes and happen mostly once a day in the afternoon. A few nights ago i had a cramp during the night and it was quite strong and woke me up at 4.30am.
Is this normal or can is there a risk of ectopic?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had this and went for an early scan at 7+6 and everything was fine , strong heart beat . It’s normal to get cramps , as long as you’re not bleeding then it’s most likely ok. Get an early scan if it continues, although don’t go too early as you may not see a heart beat . X

Thank you Itsemily. When is the earliest for the heart beat? X

Cramps are normal in early pregnancy, it's your uterus stretching. But if they become very painful and sharp and just on one side I'd contact your EPAU for a scan. Heartbeat can usually be detected from around 6 weeks.
